The BlueStorm/LP 2-PORT RS485 is ideal for one's low profile PC. The device supports three RS-422, 485 modes. It is equipped with full duplex of four wire with RTS/CTS flow control, half duplex which is two wire and has auto TxD echo cancellation as well as multi-drop of four wire full duplex communications for the multi-drop devices. The data communication speed is up to 1.8432 Mbps. It has the data acquisition, office automation, POS, self-service kiosk as well as scientific or instrumentation applications which communicate in a reliable and cost-effective manner. The BlueStorm/LP 2-PORT RS485 fits into low profile and standard height PCI computers with every change of a bracket and this thus enables one to connect multiple devices to the user's system. This takes full advantage of the space saving qualities of its MD1 low profile design without making the performance impossible.

The BlueStorm/LP 2-PORT RS485 affords protection with the device's available multi-strike surge suppression on all ports and signals too. Each of the ports is controlled by either a dual, quad or octal PCI UART hence providing 64 bytes of transmits. In addition, it receives FIFO buffers, global interrupt source register, automatic hardware and software flow control as well. It is flexible in that the universal PCI ensures the serial card fits into either 3.3V or 5V systems and is also available with standard height brackets and caption cables. It is fully compliant with fully universal PCI 2.3.
