C-Pen 10 is a pen scanner that comes with an Active Mousepad. The device can read text and digits directly into a personal computer. It can also be used as a mouse with the use of the mousepad. This mousepad has buttons that allows quick access to different functions. The C-Pen 10 uses a USB cable to connect to a computer. Once connected and installed into a computer, it can alternate between two functions: as a reader and a mouse. The C-Pen 10 can read texts/digits fonts between 5-22 points even if it is in bold or italics. The C-Pen 10 Active Mousepad allows the device to turn into a mouse. There are also ten Active Buttons found at the top of the Active Mousepad. Some buttons have predefined functions; other buttons can be assigned tasks. Activating a function can be done by simply touching its Active Area.

C-Pen 10 has a size of 122 x 19 x 23 mm, a weight of 35 grams - with the USB cable weighing 80 grams and an Argus processor. The device reads at a speed of 15 cm/s and reads character sizes of 5 to 22 pt. The character recognition comes from the ABBYY Software House. The device communicates any data it receives thru USB. The device can be installed in a PCs installed with Windows 98, Windows Me, Windows 2000 or any equivalent operating system. A processor of at least Pentium 166 MHz is required as well as a 32 MB RAM and 80 MB free hard disk space. It also requires a CD-ROM and a USB-port for cable connection.
