Windows device driver information for Canon BJ-100
The Canon BJ-100 is a type of bubblejet printer which is actually synonymous to the inkjet technology. Bubblejet is the term adopted by its manufacturer to reference the bubble which is formed in the chamber prior to the dropping of the ink onto the printing surface. The role of the device driver is to assist in the transmission of the instructions from the software application requesting the print job to the device. Essentially inkjet printers operate by electrically heating chambers on the print cartridge. The electrical pulse is sent to the heating elements which causes the ink in the chamber to react. The ink is then sent to a narrow passage that is connected to where the ink is stored. In this context the electrical impulses control the amount of ink as well as the size of the droplets that will be produced during the printing process.
