Windows device driver information for Canon S300
The Canon S300 can implement the proprietary Bubble Jet and Ink-On-Demand technologies of its manufacturer. These built-in feature sets are normally activated with the installation of the corresponding device driver into the local hard drive of the host computer system. The installation of the proper device driver also makes it possible to generate high quality print outs on various types of print media. The computer user has the option of specifying the maximum printing resolution of 2400 by 1200 dots per inch for colored print outputs. In the case of black and white or monochrome printing the Canon S300 can support a maximum of 600 by 600 dots per inch printing resolution. In terms of printing speed the device driver can implement a maximum output of 11 printed pages per minute for monochrome mode and 7.5 printed pages per minute for colored print outs.
Outdated Printer Drivers?
A. Manually verify every device on your system for driver updates
B. Automatically scan all your device drivers using DriverScanner
The quality of the output normally depends on the proximity and number or nozzles supported by the print head. In the case of the Canon S300 printer when using black and white printing mode 320 nozzles are supported by the device driver. For colored printing mode the number of supported nozzles is reduced to 128 but this is for each basic color supported. All in all the number of nozzles used is still higher when compared to black and white printing. The device driver makes use of 56 KB of Random Access Memory buffer. This means that the Canon S300 can handle multiple print requests and load them to buffer memory if necessary. The device driver is then allowed to efficiently handle the print queue and complete the print tasks accordingly. Essentially for printing devices the bigger the buffer memory the more print jobs can be accommodated. It is highly recommended you run a free registry scan for and Canon S300 errors before installing any driver updates.
