The Datamax DMX 400 is a type of label printing device that makes use of direct thermal printing technology. Its device driver also supports the optional implementation of a thermal transfer label printing capability. The installation of the correct device driver allows it to support an RS-232 or RS-422 connection to the host computer system. The device driver also supports the operation of the indicator lights on the front panel. These indicator lights represent the Power, Paper or Ribbon, and the Pause functions.
