Smart Display monitors are fairly new in the computer industry, more specifically to the display monitor manufacturing sector. Basically, it is a portable touch screen LCD monitor pioneered by Microsoft, presented as a thin client for personal computers and can be connected via Wifi. It also incorporated the technology known as the airpanel V150 which is packaged with a fifteen inch 1024 by 768 LCD, a 400MHz Intel XScale processor, 32MB ROM, 64MB RAM, 802.11b wireless connectivity, and a USB wireless hub for the host PC. Most critics point out however that the device does not measure up to the functions of the Pocket PC and that it cannot function as a standalone personal computer.
