The Generic Television driver is an Operating System component introduced by Microsoft Corporation. It was released alongside the Microsoft Windows 95 Operating System platform. This driver was designed to deliver the support architecture for any generic television hardware component. This Operating System element is closely associated with the monitor.inf file. The monitor.inf file is a database of information related to the different display monitors in the computer market.
