More details about W32.Velost

W32. Velost Virus affects Windows 95, Windows 98, Windows NT, Windows 2000, Windows XP, Windows Me System. When a file that is infected with W32.Velost is carried out, the virus makes a mutex called "Lost Love." If this mutex is already on your pc, the virus carries out the original file. Or else, it carries out only the viral code. It will then search for .scr or .exe file extensions and attaches itself to files that it finds. This virus will continue searching for more files to infect. Once the virus has processed all the drives from C through Z, it tries to open an .htm program.
