W32.Pixo creates copies of itself and adds the value Rundll32.exe C:\Windows\System\PIX-61081.exe to the system registry key once it is executed. This worm does not give a wild or harmful threat. The removal of the worm can be done in a few minutes once the computer is infected.

Reports say that the W32.Pixo software is also capable of distributing threats to other computers. Some programs may be used to spread these threats. These are P2P (peer-to-peer) file sharing programs and instant messaging applications. P2P programs are full of threats that may unknowingly be downloaded the user. These threats are typically disguised as legitimate programs to avoid being detected as an illicit file. The user’s computer is infected as soon as the download of the application has been completed.
