Uniblue shortlisted for two ICT awards

Uniblue Systems Ltd has been shortlisted for two of the Computer Society Malta ICT Malta Awards 2007. The company applied for two out of the eight categories – IT Company Award and IT Product Award.

ProcessLibrary.com has been shortlisted for the IT Product Award. ProcessLibrary.com is a free online “encyclopedia of processes” with information about tens of thousands of processes (or program files) and dll libraries. Around a hundred thousand individuals make use of this tool daily to check whether their computers are infected with malware, or whether their long list of running processes can be pruned for better computer efficiency. In 2006, ProcessScanner was launched within ProcessLibrary.com. This enables a computer user to scan his or her computer and provides a report of all running processes, categorizing each as to the level of safety and recommends a course of action if, for example, a particular process is using a high level of memory. Process Library provides the computer-using community with a free, up to date security information service.

Uniblue Systems Ltd has also been shortlisted for the IT Company Award. The award recognizes growth and increased revenue for suppliers of IT products and services. The adjudication criteria are growth in company earnings, increase in the number of employees, new market penetration, and overseas revenue component of company earnings. Uniblue has sustained high levels of growth during 2006-2007, has increased the number of employees from 21 to 50 within a year, has recently launched a retail sales channel in the USA and almost 100% of revenue is generated overseas.

The awards will be presented on May 24th at the Radisson SAS Bay Point Hotel.
