Affiliate
Terms Explained
payment threshold
Question: What does "payment threshold"
mean?
Answer: The minimum amount of an accumulated commission that an affiliate must earn to get payment through an affiliate program. Payment thresholds involve a minimum payment at certain time intervals, such as monthly or quarterly. At a specific time interval, the total commissions are compared to the minimum payment level. If an affiliate does not meet the minimum payment level, the amount is not paid at that time, but is rolled over to the next time period. When the accumulated commission is more than the minimum payment, the money is sent a certain number of days after the end of the period, as indicated in the affiliate contract.
