This setting displays general information about your third CPU in case you have multi-core processor system. The displayed information includes processor name, processor speed etc.

The cpu information of your computer can be retrieved with this setting. It gives basic information of your third cpu, in case you have a multi-core processor system. A multi-core processor is one which combines two or more independent processors into a single package. With this setting, you can know the processor name, processor speed, identify processor family, including identifying the vendor of the third detected cpu. Additionally, you can access information of floating point processor. Important: in the registry path provided below, 2 refers to the third physical cpu if you have a multi-core processor system. For this, go to start > run, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. The cpu information is listed in the right panel of the registry editor window. Note: the registry in windows 98 contains only few of the below given value names. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit"

Next, go to <b>[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Hardware\Description\System\CentralProcessor\2\]</b>, to view information of the third CPU in a multi-core processor system.

Then, go to <b>[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Hardware\Description\System\FloatingPointProcessor\2\]</b>, to view the "FloatingPointProcessor" information of third CPU.
