This feature opens up windows experience tour useful to those who have purchased their first computer and are learning windows for the first time. It's possible to disable the feature with this registry setting. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the hkey_local_machine and hkey_current_user registry paths listed below. You can create a dword value runcount for each registry type, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value to 0 which can disable the windows tour notification. However, if you want to get the tour notification back, change the value to 1. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to <b> [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets Tour\]</b>, in the open area right-click on "RunCount" and click on 'Modify'.

Enter the value "0" (Base Hexadecimal) in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Go to <b> [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Applets \]</b>, key and create a new key with the name "Tour" under "Applets".

Now, right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "RunCount" in "Tour" key.

Next, right-click on "RunCount" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "0" (Base Hexadecimal) in the text box and click on 'OK'.
