Description:
This setting enables you to choose the order of the icons on desktop. Either of the icons my documents or my computer will appear first on the desktop. For this go to start > run and enter regedit and search the key listed below. Change the dword value sortorderindex to 54 if you want my computer to be displayed first and to 48 if my documents should be displayed first in the list. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Go to <b> [HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\CLSID\{450D8FBA-AD25-11D0-98A8-0800361B1103}\] </b>,right-click on DWORD value "SortOrderIndex" and click on 'Modify'.
Enter the value "48" or "54" to show the icon order of your choice and click on 'OK'.
