You can display a customized warning message in Windows Messenger to the user through this setting.

Description:
Windows messenger chat window displays a message to warn you on not giving out your password, credit card number including any secure information during conversation. You can customize this message per your desire. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. If the subkey \policies does not exist, create it as explained below. Then, create a string value imwarning in the right panel. Now, right-click and modify its value with the desired text message, which will reflect in your future conversations. However, if you want to show the original options back, delete the added value. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\MessengerService\]</b> key, right-click and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "Policies".
Third, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > String Value" to create a new String value with the name "IMWarning".
Fourth, right-click on the 'IMWarning' String value and click on "Modify".
Finally, enter the user-defined message in the text box and click on 'OK'.
