Internet Explorer uses the option "AutoComplete" to remember the typed text in a web form or a URL. You can disable or enable this option.

Description:
Internet explorer uses the option "autocomplete" to remember the typed text in a web form or a url. <u>autocomplete options:</u> autosuggest: it will show a list of matching urls in address bar, if you have accessed the website earlier. Use formsuggest: on the web forms, internet explorer can call previously typed inputs of a field. It can suggest from the previous entries existing in the list, if any. Formsuggest passwords: it will call the saved passwords on web forms. Formsuggest pw ask: it will prompt to save passwords on web forms, so that you dont have to type it again the next time you visit the page. For this, go to start > run, enter "regedit" and search the keys listed below. You can create string values "autosuggest", "use formsuggest", "formsuggest passwords" and "formsuggest pw ask", if these values do not exist. Now, you can set these values in the value data field to disable or enable the "autocomplete" option of internet explorer. The changes will take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit"
Second, go to <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\]</b> and create a new key as "AutoComplete" under "Explorer" sub key.
Third, create a 'String Value' as "Auto Suggest" under "AutoComplete" sub key.
Now, go to "AutoSuggest" and right-click on it and select 'Modify'.
Here, set the 'Value Data' as "yes" for "AutoSuggest" in the text box and click on 'OK' to enable.
Next, go to <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main]</b> and right-click on "Use FormSuggest" and select 'Modify'.
Then, set the 'Value Data' as "yes" for "UseFormSuggest" in the text box and click on 'OK' to enable it.
Further, go to "FormSuggest Passwords" and right-click on it and select 'Modify'.
Set the 'Value Data' as "yes" for "FormSuggestPassword" in the text box and click on 'OK' to enable it.
Now, go to "FormSuggest PW Ask" and right-click on it and select 'Modify'.
Set the 'Value Data' as "yes" for "FormSuggestPW Ask" in the text box and click on 'OK' to enable it.
