Level: Recommended For Experts Only
Description:
While surfing the internet with internet explorer or checking the mails with outlook express, you can see a logo at top-right corner showing as if something is in progress. Smbrandbitmap: this value is used when the menu bar and standard buttons bar are in-line. It links to the full filename of the small bitmap image as animation logo of internet explorer (22x22 pixel). The image can be designed to a maximum size of 37x37 pixels. Brandbitmap: this value is used when the menu bar and standard buttons bar are on separate lines. It links to the full filename of the big bitmap image as animation logo of internet explorer (38x38 pixel). In this tweak, bitmap image of either of the values smbrandbitmap or brandbitmap will be active. If one is functional, the other is automatically non-functional. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a string values brandbitmap and smbrandbitmap in the right panel, if these values do not exist. Now, right-click and modify their values with respective bitmap image paths (depending on the pixel size) to change the automation logo. However, if you want enable the original image, delete the added values. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.
