Display general Windows icons on the desktop.
This setting enables the display of general Windows Icons.

Description:
The icons on the desktop can be displayed or hidden according to your choice. Sometimes, you may have to press the key f5 to refresh the changes. This setting enables the display of general windows icons but this requires some changes in the windows registry. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Here, create the subkeys with their respective guids that you want to show on desktop. First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace\]</b> key, right-click and click on "New > Key" to create a new key with the name "{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}".

The created key '{645FF040-5081-101B-9F08-00AA002F954E}' will look like below.
