This setting permits you to disable the info tip, which is displayed if the mouse is hovered over a desktop or an explorer item.

Description:
Generally, info tips are used to display advanced item information. If mouse is hovered over any icon on desktop or windows explorer, a short text is displayed corresponding to it. The information supplied is info tip of the corresponding item. This setting permits you to disable info tips items shown on desktop and windows explorer. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, check the dword value showinfotip and right-click to modify its value to 0, which can disable the info tips associated with the icons. However, if you want to show the info tips back, change the value to 1. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Go to <b> [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion Explorer\Advanced\]</b>,right-click on "ShowInfoTip" and click on 'Modify'.
Finally, enter the value "0" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
