Clear the search arguments from Find dialog box.
This setting allows you to clear the drop-down list created while trying to find a file or all files of a format.

Windows keeps record of whatever you do on the system like the files you looked for on your computer. The find dialog box shows a list, as drop-down, of all the items searched in your computer. It notes down the search argument name in most recently used list, which could be the name of a specific file, file names beginning with known characters, or even all the available files of a particular format. This setting allows you to clear the given list. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. When in doc find spec mru folder, select all the values in the right-pane and press delete. It will delete the list of all searches conducted from find dialog box. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Next, go to the <b> [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Doc Find Spec MRU\]</b> key, select the values "a, b, c to MRUList", right-click and click on "Delete".
