This setting enables you to change the default location of cookies folder. This folder stores the information about the user while he/she was surfing the web. It is that folder where persistent data from websites is located (normally used only by internet explorer). This setting enables you to change the default location/path of the "cookies" folder. For this, go to start > run, enter "regedit" and search the keys listed below. You can create an expandable string value "cookies" in "user shell folders" key, if this value does not exist. Now, double-click the value name "cookies" under "user shell folders" keys, to define a new path in their value data fields for your "cookies" folder. Refresh view of your computer for the changes to take effect. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\User Shell Folders\]</b>, right-click on the expandable string value "Cookies" and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the desired path in the 'Value Data' field, for example "D:\My Cookies" and click on 'OK'.
