Internet Explorer toolbar displays navigation buttons to access already visited web pages. This setting can disable the use of these buttons.

Description:
Internet explorer toolbar displays navigation buttons to access already visited web pages. With the back and forward navigation buttons, you can browse through such pages. However, this setting can disable the use of these buttons in the internet explorer toolbar. Important: even if you enable the navigation buttons in internet explorer, all the open internet explorer windows will not show this effect. For this, go to start > run, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a dword value nonavbuttons at hkey_current_user and hkey_local_machine registry paths, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value to 1 which can disable the navigation buttons. However, if you want to get back to the original state, change the value to 0. Restart internet explorer for the changes to take effect. Note: this feature works on internet explorer version 5 and above. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Go to <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Policies\Microsoft\]</b> key and create a new key with the name "Internet Explorer" under "Microsoft".
Then, create a "Restrictions" key under "Internet Explorer".
Now, right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "NoNavButtons" in "Restrictions" key.
The created DWORD value will look like below.
Next, right-click on the "NoNavButtons" DWORD value and click on 'Modify'.
Finally, enter the value "1" in the text-box provided and click on 'OK'. Once you are done, follow the above steps to create similar registry keys and DWORD value at <b>[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\]</b>.
