You can limit the search of files and folders only to the primary directory, and exclude subfolders.

Description:
This setting enables you to modify the search options used for files and folders. With this setting, you can limit the search of files and folders only to the primary directory. The subfolders of this directory are excluded from the search initiated. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a dword value includesubfolders, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value to 1 which can exclude subfolders in search. However, if you want to include the option back, change the value to 0. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Go to <b> [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\]</b> ,right-click on "IncludeSubFolders" and click on 'Modify'.
Finally, enter the value User "0" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
