Administrative tools contains various services necessary for configuring system environment. Such powerful services with administrative functions should be used only by users with known capability. As a default feature, the "administrative tools" folder is not shown in the start > programs menu. But, with this setting you can make the folder to appear in the list. For this, go to start > run, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a string value startmenuadmintools, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value to yes which can show the folder in the programs menu. However, if you want to remove the item back, change the value data to no or delete the value. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Advanced\]</b> Now, right-click in the open area to create a String Value with the name "StartMenuAdminTools" in "Advanced" key.

Next, right-click on "StartMenuAdminTools" and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "YES" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
