Hide common items from Start -> Programs

This setting enables you to control the display of common items from the Start -> Programs.

Description:
Windows displays items you personally require for easy access and also the common items, which are required by all users inside start -> programs. These common items will be hidden if this setting is enabled. For this, you have to make changes in the registry. Go to "start->run" and enter "regedit" and click "ok". Search the key listed below (create the folder "control panel" if not existing) and check for the reg_dword (dword) value "nocommongroups" in right panel. Enter the value "1" to hide the common items and "0" to display them. After restart or logoff, changes take effect. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Go to <b> [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion Policies\Explorer\]</b>,right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "NoCommonGroups " in "Explorer" key.
Next, right-click on "NoCommonGroups" and click on 'Modify'.
Finally, enter the value "1" (Base Hexadecimal) Without qotation in the text box and click on 'OK'. Once you are done. After a restart or logoff, the changes take effect.
