Description:
Internet explorer uses some of the security settings when it attempts to authenticate certificates of trust prior to use, even if the certificate is already accepted and present on a your computer. It does so to verify that an issuing certification authority has not revoked the publisher's certificate. To access this feature choose content tab in internet options dialog box from tools menu in internet explorer. The middle of that window will show you different options regarding certificates. Click on the last button, labeled publishers. The publishers authentication list is displayed under trusted publishers and untrusted publishers tabs. By using this setting you can disable the publishers option, which withdraws the facility to make changes in the publishers security certificate authentication list. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. If any of the sub keys internet explorer\control panel is not present, create it as explained below. Then, create a dword value certifpub, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value to 1 which can disable publishers option. However, if you want to enable the option back, change the value data to 0 or delete the value. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.
