Cascading Printers and Faxes items inside the Start menu (Current User).
This setting enables you to control the display of Printers and Faxes item either as cascade menu or as a folder link inside Start menu.
Level: Recommended For Novice Users
Description:
Cascade menu makes the items behave like menus with submenus instead of just opening the related folder. With this setting, you can make the printers and faxes display its items in cascade menu rather than opening a folder link. For this, go to start > run, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a string value cascadeprinters, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value to yes which can show printers and faxes items as a cascade menu. However, if you want to show folder display back, change the value data to no or delete the value. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. Note: these settings will have no effect if you use the new (2-panel) display of the start menu in windows. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.
