Enable Installation of Third Party Components
This setting enables you to install third party components like Shockwave of Macromedia and My Comet Cursor.

Description:
This setting enables you to install third party components like shockwave of macromedia and my comet cursor. Internet explorer may also ask for some more components to have a better view of a web page. This is applicable to internet explorer 6.0 only. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below , if they are not existing. Now, create a dword value name enable browser extensions in the right panel, if it does not exist. Right-click it and modify the data value with 1 to enable the setting and 0 to disable it. Click ok and close the registry editor. Restart the system or logoff to see the changes taking effect. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\]</b> key, right-click on the "Enable Browser Extensions" String value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the value "no" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
