Description:
Internet explorer facilitates to set the desired website url as internet explorer homepage. The default homepage url directs to microsofts website, however, you can change it to any other url that should show up when you launch internet explorer. If you want internet explorer to start as an empty url, enter about:blank. For this, go to start > run, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click the string value start page and modify its value with the desired website url, say http://www.google.com. Refresh view of your computer for the changes to take effect. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main\]</b> key, right-click on the "Start Page" String value and click on "Modify".
Finally, enter the URL of the webpage in the text box (like "http://www.google.com") and click on 'OK'.
