This setting enables you to customize the URL, through which Outlook Express displays the default page.

Description:
There is a bar at the bottom of outlook express, which provides a link to a website called by user. This is called bodybar or info pane. Enter http://www.google.com/ in the protocol. For example, open outlook express and then click on view menu and select layout. If have entered url earlier only then you will be able to see the info pane option. If not, you can set the registry to show the pane. For this, go to start > run, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a string value bodybarpath, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value with the desired url which you want to show in outlook express. However, if you want to remove the info pane, delete the value. Restart outlook express for the changes to take effect. Note: the unique identity key is unique for each user identity. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Identities\{Unique Identity}\Software\Microsoft\Outlook Express\5.0\]</b> key, right-click on the right pane and click on "New > String Value" to create a new String value with the name "BodyBarPath".
Third, right-click on the 'BodyBarPath' String value and click on "Modify".
Finally, enter the user-defined URL (like "http://www.google.com") in the the text box and click on 'OK'.
