This setting disables all pinned programs from the new Start menu.

Description:
When a program is right-clicked and "pin to start menu" option is selected from the context menu, it is added to the pinned programs list. A pinned program is displayed in the new start menu for quick access to the program. This setting can remove the pinned programs list from the new start menu. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a dword value nostartmenupinnedlist, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value data to 1 which can disable pinned programs. However, if you want to show the programs back, change the value to 0 or delete the nostartmenupinnedlist value. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Go to <b> [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion Policies\Explorer\]</b>,right-click on "NoStartMenuPinnedList" and click on 'Modify'.
Finally, enter the value "1" (Base Hexadecimal) in the text box and click on 'OK'.
