Disable file and URL history saving in Window Media Player.
This setting disables the ability to add all the played URLs and files to most recent file list of Windows Media Player.

Description:
Normally, windows media player saves all the played urls and files in the recent list. By using this tweak you can disable that setting. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a binary value addtomru in the right panel, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value to 1 which can disable saving of played files in the recent list. However, if you want to enable this setting, change the value to 0. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\MediaPlayer\Preferences\]</b> key, right-click on the "DisableMRU" DWORD Value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
