For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the default string value to edit which can open .vbe files with notepad. However, if you want to revert to the original setting, delete the added value. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. Go to <b>[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\VBSFile\Shell\]</b>, in the open area right-click on "(Default)" and click on 'Modify'.
Finally, enter the value "Edit" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
