The server identifies your computer with ip address and player id number. The player id is prepared from a globally unique identifier (guid). The id is generated by the windows media player setup program through standard operating system functions and windows media player saves it for logging. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the binary value senduserguid to 01 which can enable sending of guid information through media player. However, if you want to revert to original state, change the value data to 00. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.
