Description:
Windows show normally .icl files with the default generic icon, but you can specify that windows should use the icons inside each file. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the data of default string value to %1 which can show special icons for .icl files. However, if you want to revert to default icons look, delete the value. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. Note: this setting can reduce the performance of your system and if a file has no icon in itself, windows will display the file with the generic icon. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Go to <b>[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\iclfile\DefaultIcon\]</b>,right-click on "(Default)" and click on 'Modify'.
Finally, enter the value "%1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
