This setting will hide shortcut to prefix for any new shortcut, you create.

Description:
Whenever you create any shotcut, then windows will add the text "shortcut to.." to that shotcut description. For example, make a shortcut to any folder in a drive, windows automatically adds "shortcut to.." to the exact description. If you are not interested in this type of display then you will have to make some modifications in the registry. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the binary value link to 00 00 00 00 which can hide the shortcut to prefix. However, if you want to add the prefix back, change the value data to 1d 00 00 00. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. Note: "shortcut" is suffix in windows vista. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to <b> [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\] </b> and right click on the Binary value "Link" and select 'Modify'.
Finally, set the 'Value Data' to "00000000" and click 'OK' to hide 'Shortcut to' prefix.
