Change default location of the Printers spool folder.
With this setting, you can change the default location/path of the printers spool folder. Upon changing the path, all subsequent files sent to the printer will be saved by default at the new location.

A print spooler is a program that puts the printing jobs (documents/data) in a buffer, a special area in memory or on a hard disk, which can be accessed by a printer or a plotter. It puts the print jobs on a queue and sends them one at a time to the printer. This process leaves you free to perform other operations while the printing takes place in the background. This setting enables you to change the default location of the printers spool folder. For this, go to start > run, enter "regedit" and search the keys listed below. Now, double-click the value name "defaultspooldirectory" under "printers" key, and change the value data field with the new location for printer spool directory. Refresh view of your computer for the changes to take effect. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the Start button, and select Run. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the 'HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\System\CurrentControlSet\Control\Print\Printers' key, right-click on the 'DefaultSpoolDirectory' String Value and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the full path like 'E:\WINDOWS\System32\spool\PRINTERS' to set the new location for printer spool directory in the Value Data field and click on 'OK'.
