This setting helps saving power when it allows powering off monitor when not in use.

Description:
The system takes time to gather information at login screen. During this time, it displays screensaver whereas you can off the monitor to save power. This setting exactly does the same. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click and modify the string value poweroffactive to 1 to enable turning off monitor. However, if you want to show the screensaver back, change the value data to 0. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_USERS\.DEFAULT\Control Panel\Desktop\]</b> key, right-click on the "PowerOffActive" String value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
