Change Windows Firewall status on Standard profile.
This setting lets you change the status of the firewall. The status may be forcefully turned on or off.

The standard profile of windows firewall should be used when you are working on a stand-alone pc or on a network in home or small office environment. In this case you should force that firewall is always turned on. Turning off the firewall may make the computer more vulnerable to viruses and intruders, since the environment is not secured. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a dword value enablefirewall in the right panel, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify its value to 1 which can forcefully turn on windows firewall. However, if you want to turn the option off, change the value data to 0 or delete the value name to customize firewall manually. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Now, go to the <b> [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\WindowsFirewall\StandardProfile\] </b> and right-click on the 'EnableFirewall' DWORD value and select 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
