A shared folder appears in windows explorer as an icon of a hand holding the shared folder. You can hide the hand of this icon. For this go to "start->run" and enter "regedit" and search the keys listed below. Ando got to the "default" value. Now you can delete the value for hiding the holding hand icon. After that you can set this value to "msshrui.dll" for showing again the hand holding the shared folders. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. Note: if you like to share a folder in windows explorer, you can go with your mouse to to the folder you like to share, there you can press the right mouse button, choose properties and select the tap sharing. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT\Network\SharingHandler]</b> key, right-click on the "Default" value and click on "Delete". After deleting the data Data column will show "(value not set)".
