This setting enables you to specify a warning message about illegal access to a computer that will be shown before the user types his data to the logon screen.

Description:
This setting enables you to specify a warning message about illegal access to a computer that will be shown before the user types his data to the logon screen. The message tells any potential user that is illegal to try to get access to a computer without the permission of the authorized user. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create string values legalnoticecaption and legalnoticetext, if these values do not exist. Now, right-click and modify the values to the text and caption that will be the caption and text for the message. Note: if you using your computer as a print-server or any other specialized system, you can use automatic logon and you can disable this setting. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Winlogon]</b> key, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > String Value" to create a new String value with the name "LegalNoticeCaption".

Third, right-click on the 'LegalNoticeCaption' String value and click on 'OK'.

Fourth, enter the "Caption" you want in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Fifth, go to the [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Winlogon] key, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > String Value" to create a new String value with the name "LegalNoticeText".
