This setting lets you clear the username box on the logon screen.

Description:
This setting prevents the new person from knowing about the last person, who accessed the system. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. If the subkey \currentversion\policies\system is not present, create it as explained below. Then, create a string value name dontdisplaylastusername, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value data box with 1 enable the setting. Click ok and close the registry editor. After logoff or system restart, changes take effect. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Go to <b> [HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Policie s\System\]</b>,in the open area right-click on "DontDisplayLastUserName" and click on 'Modify'.
Finally, enter the value "1" without quotation in he text box and click on 'OK'. Once you are done. After a restart or logoff, the changes take effect.
