Description:
Administrator account is not displayed due to security reasons in windows logon window but its activation may be helpful. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. If the subkey \winlogon\specialaccounts\userlist is not present, create it as explained below. Then, create a dword value name administrator, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value data box with 1 to enable the setting. Click ok and close the registry editor. After logoff or system restart, changes take effect. Note: this option has no effect, if windows xp and the classic logon window is being used. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Go to <b>[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\SpecialAccounts\UserList]</b>,right-click in the open area to create a DWORD Value with the name "Administrator" in "UserList" key.
Next, right-click on "Administrator" and click on 'Modify'.
Finally, enter the value "1" (Base Hexadecimal) without quotation in the text box and click on 'OK'. Once you are done. After a restart or logoff, the changes take effect.
