Microsoft office 2003 programs displays a task pane for every of its program, which reminds you of various tasks you can perform. The administrator may count it unimportant and block the display, while the user might be interested. So, some changes in the registry lets the user have the option of displaying. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a dword value donotdismissfilenewtaskpane in the right panel, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify its value to 1 which can show the task pane. However, if you want to hide the pane again, change the value data to 0 or delete the added value. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Common\General\]</b> key, right-click on the right pane and click on "New > DWORD Value" to create a new DWORD value with the name "DoNotDismissFileNewTaskPane".

Third, right-click on the 'DoNotDismissFileNewTaskPane' DWORD value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
