Minimize Outlook to system tray of MS Office 2003

This setting lets you minimize Outlook 2003 to the system tray area near clock.

Description:
Normally, outlook gets minimized to taskbar but you can change the setting here. The users, who always use outlook, this can save some clutter in the taskbar. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. If the subkeys \11.0\outlook\preferences is not present, create it as explained below. Then, create a dword value name mintotray, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value data box with 1 to minimize to system tray and 0 to minimize to taskbar. Click ok and close the registry editor. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".
Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\11.0\Outlook\Preferences\]</b> key, right-click on the "MinToTray" DWORD value and click on "Modify".
Third, enter the value "1" in the text box and click on 'OK'.
