This setting lets you clear the MRU list of Microsoft Office Outlook of MS Office XP.
Level: Recommended For Experts Only
Description:
When an office program requests you about a filename to save or load, it will save this filename into a list called most recently used (mru). Basically, this list is the same as the documents list inside your start menu but office goes beyond a simple list. Each office program can execute several actions and a most recently used files list is retained for each action like create or open outlook data file. Clearing the mru list does not delete the files. The setting will simply remove the file link from the registry. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, right-click the multi string value name value and delete it. Click ok and close the registry editor. Logoff or restart your system. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.
