This tweak lets you clear the MRU list of Microsoft Office PowerPoint of save as dialog box in MS Office XP.
Level: Recommended For Novice Users
Description:
A filename is saved or loaded into a list called most recently used (mru). This list is the same as the my documents list inside start menu. When a file is opened in ms word, you can open and enter another file in it, which may be a graphic file or excel file. Therefore, each program in ms office can go for more than one action and the most recent action is saved to the list of most recently used. For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. Now, check for a multi-string value name, value in the right panel and delete the value data. Click ok and close the registry editor. Restart the system or logoff to see the changes taking effect. Note: clearing of the mru list file does not delete it but this tweak only removes the file link from the registry. Your file is not deleted. This mru list is created when u save your presentation in powerpoint. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.
