Add an item User Defined Places in MS Office 2000
This setting lets you add folders to the places bar in MS Office.

Description:
The places bar is the left pane in the save as dialog box, for example, where you will find icons, which you get on desktop.this setting lets you add folders to the places bar in ms office. If you use this setting, you can just enter the name and path of the folder that should be added to places bar. The n stands for a positive integer number in the key place(1..n). For this, go to start > run menu, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. If any of the subkeys place(1n) is not present, create it as explained below. Then, create string values name and path, if these values do not exist. Now, right-click and modify the values for each key that you can add your own folders to places bar. However, if you want to get back to the original state, delete the keys. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.

Screenshots

First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Second, go to the <b>[HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\9.0\Common\Open Find\Places\UserDefinedPlaces]</b> key, right-click and click on "Nwe > Key" to create a new key with the name "Places1".

Third, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "New > String Value" to create a new String value with the name "Name".

Fourth, right-click on the 'Name' String value and click on "Modify".

Fifth, enter the user-defined name in the text box and click on 'OK'.

Sixth, right-click on the blank area in the right pane and click on "Nwe > String Value" to create a new String value with the name "Path".

Seventh, right-click on the 'Path' String value and click on "Modify".

Finally, enter the user-defined path in the text box and click on 'OK'.
