Remove Links toolbar from Internet Explorer browser window.
This setting can disable the Links toolbar from being shown in Internet Explorer.

Description:
Generally, the links toolbar is displayed with the other internet explorer toolbars by default. If you want to, you can remove this toolbar from internet explorer. For this, go to start > run, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. If any of the subkeys internet explorer\toolbars\restrictions is not present, create it as explained below. Then, create a dword value nolinksbar, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value to 1 which can remove links toolbar from internet explorers window. However, to show the links toolbar again in internet explorer window, you have to add it manually. Go to links menu item under view > toolbars menu and add a checkmark to it. The links bar will appear in your internet explorer. Important: in windows 2003, to show the links toolbar in internet explorer simply change the dword value of nolinksbar to 0. The changes will take effect after a restart or logoff. Note: this setting can be applied to windows explorer as well. First, click the 'Start' button, and select 'Run'. In the resulting dialog box, type "regedit".

Go to <b>[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Policies\Microsoft\]</b> and create a new key with the name "Internet Explorer" under "Microsoft".

Create another key "Toolbars" under "Internet Explorer".

In the hierarchy create "Restrictions" subkey.

Then, right-click in the open area to create a DWORD value with the name "NoLinksBar".

After creating "NoLinksBar" DWORD value, right-click on it and click on 'Modify'.

Finally, enter the value "1" in the text-box and click on 'OK'.
