Description:
Favorites is a menu in internet explorer that is used to store webpages bookmarked by the user. The webpages are saved to have a quick access at a later time. The favorites menu can be accessed from internet explorer, windows explorer and start menu. Generally, the favorites item does not appear on the start menu. But, if it is displayed in your simple start menu or classic start menu, you have the option to remove it from the list. For this, go to start > run, enter regedit and navigate to the registry path listed below. You can create a dword value nofavoritesmenu, if this value does not exist. Now, right-click and modify the value to 1 which can remove the favorites folder from the start menu. However, if you want to get the folder back into the start menu, change the value to 0. The changes take effect after a restart or logoff. Note: the favorites item is removed only from the start menu. It still appears in windows explorer and in internet explorer. When editing the registry it is highly recommended to run a quick scan for optimization, you can test your system now for free.
